Mr. Staunton represents clients in a wide range of corporate litigation including partnership disputes, corporate governance, commercial mortgages and other commercial real estate matters, construction law, RICO and general contract law. He also has experience in bankruptcy litigation, securities law, employment discrimination and employee benefits disputes, legal malpractice defense, civil rights litigation and constitutional law. He has tried cases, and argued appeals, in the Illinois state and federal courts.

- Represented large chemical distributor in defense of breach of contract claim brought by assignee of bankrupt consultant.
- Prosecuted and defended securities fraud claims involving national brokerage firms.
- Represented large individual lender in complicated litigation against borrower in the Illinois trial and appellate courts and the bankruptcy courts.
- Represented both employers and employees in litigation involving discrimination, trade secret claims and non-competition clauses.
- Represented a large manufacturer in a defective equipment claim.
