Michaela Kabat

Ms. Kabat represents companies and individuals in complex litigation matters in both federal and state court. Her cases have included contract disputes, shareholder derivative matters, qui tam litigation, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) cases, and constitutional law matters. Ms. Kabat is a trained mediator through the Center for Conflict Resolution.

Defended multinational corporation in multiple shareholder derivative suits in state and federal court.

Conducted internal investigation of healthcare company in connection with False Claims Act litigation.

Represented plaintiff in FOIA litigation against a federal agency. 

Represented several detained individuals bringing constitutional claims in pandemic-related habeas cases. 

Represented incarcerated individual bringing Section 1983 claims against state agency in federal court.
